Yalin Li is a partner at Global Law Office. She is based in Beijing and specialises in banking and finance, FDI and overseas investment and dispute resolution, covering finance, energy, power, infrastructure construction and natural resources sectors.

She has acted for a number of projects which have been awarded by authoritative industrial journals as the annual best projects (including the financing for aluminium smelter and coal-fired plant in the North Kalimantan Industrial Park of Indonesia, the world’s first simultaneous issuance of tri-product ESG bonds, the first offshore supplemental capital instrument issued by Chinese financial leasing companies, and the first RMB Dim Sum bonds in Central Asia), and provided legal services for domestic financial institutions to support a number of key projects under the Belt and Road Initiative.

In the field of bank financing, Yalin Li has been working on syndicated loans, project financing, export credit, cross-border loans and guarantees on behalf of most major Chinese and international financial institutions active in the market (including CEXIM, CDB, Sinosure, ICBC, CCB, IFC, ADB, BNPP, SCB, BBVA etc.). In debt capital markets, she has participated in a number of onshore and offshore bond issuances (including Panda Bonds and debt financing instruments issued in the PRC bond market, and RMB, USD and EUR bonds issued in Hong Kong, Singapore and London markets).

In the area of dispute resolution, she has participated in arbitration proceedings before domestic and international arbitration institutions, including China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC) and London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). She has also participated in several international investment arbitration cases between foreign investors and host states.
