2025-12-24

Global Law Office Shanghai ("GLO") has recently signed a memorandum of understanding ("MOU") with University College London ("UCL") Laws. UCL Laws termed this MOU with GLO as a pioneering one. Under the MOU, GLO Shanghai will offer internships to LL.M. and LL.B. students from UCL Laws who will be selected and recommended by UCL Laws as per an agreed protocol.

According to the new release from UCL, Dr. Deming Zhao, (LL.M., 1999, UCL), partner of GLO, has hosted an event for prospective students and UCL Laws alumni in Shanghai. The event provided attendees with opportunities to connect with the faculty of UCL Laws, to network, and to hear from leading Laws alumni during an informative panel.

Dr. Deming Zhao was the faculty of laws' first cohort of three students from Mainland of China and has pioneered the legal practice area of customs and trade compliance in China.

The MOU with UCL Laws was also a breakthrough effort by GLO to collaborate with internationally renowned and leading law schools, at the aspirational age of "Going Global" by Chinese companies.
